TRACinSURED launches at TIACA
MIAMI, Oct. 26, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Solent Freight Services, Tag-N-Trac and Otonomi are showcasing TRACinSURED at TIACA Air Cargo Forum. The program’s parametric delay cover pays a pre-agreed amount when a shipment’s own sensor record verifies a covered trigger, such as a defined air freight delay. Temperature excursion protection is also available on a traditional, proof-of-loss basis. Visit Tag-N-Trac/TRACinSURED at booth #846, Oct. 26 to 29.
TRACinSURED pairs Tag-N-Trac condition data with insurance designed and administered by Otonomi Insurance Services LLC, a licensed MGA, and underwritten by A-rated securities.
Traditional cargo claims are settled after the fact, often taking 45 days or more, and some shippers never file at all. Shippers often already pay for visibility hardware that recorded what went wrong, but that data alone rarely gets them paid.
Tag and move. A Tag-N-Trac smart label records location and condition events while Solent Freight Services carries the shipment across its air cargo and express network.
Bind a trigger. Otonomi Insurance Services LLC binds delay coverage on behalf of the insurer against that record, with a defined delay trigger and fixed payouts agreed in advance. Optional temperature and humidity excursion cover is non-parametric and requires proof of loss.
Settle. When the record verifies a covered delay trigger, the pre-agreed amount is designed to be paid in days.
“For years, we, along with the transportation industry worldwide, have been looking for a way to bring shipment tracking, temperature monitoring and delay protection together in one simple, powerful package,” said Simon Milne, CEO of Solent Freight Services.
“A temperature alert is not a claims file,” said Venu Gutlapalli, Founder and Chief Digital Officer of Tag-N-Trac. “We maintain the chain of custody for that data, because if an underwriter cannot rely on the record, the rest of the product does not matter.”
“Tag-N-Trac’s sensor feed, with Solent’s operational context, lets us price risk by lane, with payouts set against shipment value,” said Yann Barbarroux, CEO of Otonomi. “That is what lets us design delay settlement to take days, not weeks.”
